Notice of Data Security Incident

Gerber Childrenswear LLC (“GCW”) has learned of a data incident that may have involved the personal information of some GCW vendors, employees and dependents. On June 26, 2023, GCW discovered unusual activity on our computer network. Upon identifying the issue, GCW promptly began an internal investigation, took steps to secure our systems, and notified law enforcement. GCW also engaged a forensic security firm to investigate and confirm the security of our computer systems. The forensic investigation determined that an unknown third party accessed GCW’s computer systems and may have accessed and acquired certain documents from GCW’s systems as a part of the incident.

The investigation also determined that the unauthorized access was limited to GCW’s corporate files and did not involve or compromise consumer information.

Although GCW does not have evidence that anyone’s information has been misused, GCW is notifying those GCW vendors, employees and dependents whose personal information could have been involved in the incident. The incident may have involved unauthorized access and acquisition of personal information, including individuals’ names and Social Security numbers.
